It loos like we raised just shy of $3000 for Popping Jack – of this - $500 donated on site (while Jack watched) has already been sent to the Polio Foundation for matching.
Why we are fundraising for The Rotary Foundation
Each year, the Northwest Rotary Club pops a pumpkin with rubber bands. The person that guesses the number of rubber bands it will take to pop our pumpkin without going over, wins $100. All proceeds will go to the PolioPlus Campaign sponsored by the Rotary Foundation.
This year, we will be popping our pumpkin - Lucky Jack - in front of Huntley Springs Retirement Center (11700 Samantha Ln, Huntley, IL 60142) on October 29th at 2:00 pm. In addition, RILEE - the Rotary Iron Lung Education Exhibit will be open for touring. Get an upfront understanding of why Rotary International is working to eradicate Polio from the face of the earth.
